From the 31st of January until the 20th of August I have been in Fairbanks, Alaska! I was there for an internship at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The internship lasted 24 weeks, I stayed 5 weeks to travel around.
I kept an online diary while I was there. I have shortened this a bit, click below for the photos and stories per month.
In Summer I travelled around Alaska for 4 weeks, and I made a seperate page with a trip report and many photos.
Trip report - June
I travelled around Alaska for 4 weeks in a very basic RV, visiting some National Parks (Wrangell St Elias, Denali) as well as many other interesting and beautiful places around Alaska. Click here for the trip report including MANY photos!
February
My first month in Alaska... photos of the campus, the Yukon Quest, northern lights and skiing

I travelled around for most of June (see the seperate trip report), so for this month only some photos of the thick smoke in Fairbanks from the bush fires!

My parents came to see me, so I showed them around Fairbanks. Also some more photos of the campus.

Photos of the botanical garden, Creamers Field (birds), burnt forest, the ski slopes in Summer, the State Fair and my goodbye party...
